Today was quite uneventful. I climbed out of bed around noon
- quite late for me. After "breakfast," I went for a
five mile stroll along the river. For lack of anything more exciting
to do, I went hunting for a geocache that was hidden near the
river (see www.geocaching.com).
My truck was dirty, so I washed it.
While strolling through the cottonwoods in the southern part
of the city, I veered from the paved pathway and wandered among
the trees. An owl perched on a branch, watching me in the lazy
manner of an owl. Before long, I discovered a lean-to constructed
of fallen branches. If I were younger, I thought, I would envy
this fort. I approached it and peered inside. It was littered
with beer cans. How old were these kids, I wondered.
