San Diego, California, to Tempe, Arizona

Near the end of 2003 my friend Jesse and I, Jason Signalness, rode our bicycles along section two of the Adventure Cycling Southern Tier Route from Phoenix to El Paso, Texas. During spring break of 2007 we went back to the Southwest to tackle section one, thus covering the route all the way from the Pacific Ocean to Texas. This year's ride took us over 442 miles of mountains, desert, and city streets between the Pacific Ocean and Tempe, Arizona.

On this site, I have posted my detailed travel log and numerous photos from along the route. Most of the photos are my work, but a few are from Jesse's camera. I hope you enjoy reading about our second adventure in the Southwest.

As always, I appreciate comments or questions. E-mail me at jason@jsignal.com.
