Day 0: Friday

I took off work early and double checked my packing. Pictured here is basically everything (other than the bike) I'm bringing along on this 11 day trip.

Cheryl and Jesse’s family came down to see us off at the airport.

The plane to Minneapolis was turbulent but on time. Our flight from Minneapolis to Phoenix was an hour late and completely full.

The Days Inn shuttle took forever to pick us up. It finally showed up and we checked into our room. It is now 1:00 a.m. The motel is kind of cheap, but acceptable. As long as I’ve a bed I am happy. Ah, the joy of holiday travel.

The UPS Store opens at 9:00. Then we’re off to Globe by bicycle. We plan on a few thousand feet of climbing tomorrow.
